Jourdan + Josh’s New Orleans Wedding

Real MaeMe Bride Jourdan + Josh’s New Orleans Wedding

August 14th, 2020

After initially “matching” online, neither Jourdan nor Josh were expecting to find “the one,” but after their first date, the rest was history… and they had a beautiful New Orleans Wedding!

Josh planned the perfect springtime proposal at the Houmas House Plantation in April of 2018. Josh had told Jourdan before Easter that they were going to go eat a late Easter brunch at the plantation with some of Josh’s relatives. The morning of their brunch, the pair got into the car to head to The Houmas House, and Josh told Jourdan, “I have two rules: 1. No using your phone once we get off the exit for The Houmas House and 2. You have to close your eyes once we pull into the parking lot.” So at this point, she knew what was about to happen. Once they arrived at the plantation, they began to walk towards the restaurant that they were going to have brunch at. As they were walking, Jourdan notices a photographer taking pictures of flowers and scenery.  Josh stopped her at a beautiful spot in-front of a fountain and told her how much he loves her and that he can’t wait to spend his life with Jordan and got down on one knee! Of course Jourdan said YES! After taking some photos, the couple entered the restaurant and there was both the bride and groom’s entire family waiting for them.

Jourdan wore an off-the-shoulder, fit-and-flare gown by Essense of Australia from MaeMe. Jourdan wanted her gown to have a special design element, and the 3 dimensional  flowers were the perfect touch to make her dress dreams come true. Before shopping at MaeMe, Jourdan thought she knew exactly what she wanted… but her stylist pulled a wildcard dress, and that surprise dress ended up being “the one”. We absolutely love the way the moscato underlay of her gown complimented her sage green bridesmaids gowns so perfectly!

The couple tied the knot on August 14th, 2020 at The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church for the perfect wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana.

When asked what advice she would give to future brides, Jourdan said, “Take it all in! Do not stress about the small stuff and all of the tiny details because, I promise, no one really notices all those tiny details we stress over as the bride. The day goes by so quickly, so really try to soak it up as much as possible!”

Congratulations to a beautiful couple! If you’d love to check out wedding dresses at MaeMe for your wedding day, click here to book your appointment!

Xoxo,

Melissa
