On this episode of MaeMe Loves, we’ve compiled a short list of the most popular bridal portrait locations in the New Orleans area for our brides looking for beautiful, southern-inspired formal bridal portraits!
1. City Park, New Orleans
With such a variety of photo opportunities, City Park is consistently a top choice for our brides scheduling bridal portraits! City Park offers so many different locations and backdrops for our brides to showcase their gorgeous wedding dresses! A few favorites include: anywhere under the canopy of a mature oak tree, in front of the modern columns or on the front steps of The Museum of Art, the popular bridge near Cafe du Monde, the Botanical Garden, and Popp’s Fountain.
Photo session fee: $75 (Note: additional fees apply for portraits inside NOMA and inside the Botanical Gardens.)
City Park Photo Permit is required.
2. Long Vue Gardens, Metairie
Long Vue Garden’s lush landscape is unlike any other in the area! The manicured property boasting of greenery, oak trees, florals, gardens, fountains, rustic stucco buildings with shutters that frame a bridal portrait beautifully and a magnificent stairwell are a few of the highlights! Whether you are looking for a very formal portrait or something more organic, Long Vue is a classic choice with New Orleans brides!
Photo session fee: $125 per hour.
Long Vue Garden Photography Registration is required.
3. Race and Religious, New Orleans
Race and Religious has become a highly coveted, historical venue for brides to capture the whimsical character of the city. The property at Race and Religious includes 3 unique buildings with distressed wooden shutters, a wrap around exterior porch, and a stunning brick courtyard filled with natural greenery and a ton of charm! The main building includes a great changing area with a full length mirror and bathroom to accommodate hair and make up touch ups!
Photo session fee: $200 for 1 hour, $300 for 1.5 hours, $400 for 2 hours
