Meet Our Team
|
Melissa | Owner
Melissa launched MaeMe in 2009 after becoming a bride herself—and falling head over heels for the bridal industry. What began as a passion project has since grown into a multi-million-dollar brand known for luxury, heart, and unforgettable bridal experiences. With a background in leadership and a deep passion for empowering women, Melissa thrives at the intersection of business strategy, team development, and fashion. Whether she’s curating the latest collections, mentoring her team, or celebrating a bride’s “yes” moment, Melissa is all about creating connection, building confidence, and making magic happen. She leads with heart, embraces change, and believes that collaboration, creativity, and adaptability are the keys to long-term success. The culture at MaeMe reflects her belief that growth is best achieved together—through shared ideas, joy, and intentional leadership. Outside the boutique, you can find Melissa chauffeuring her three kids to practices, on a date night with her husband, traveling with friends, reading a great book, or challenging herself to run another half-marathon. She is passionate about living a purpose-driven life and building a legacy of love, leadership, and impact—both inside and outside the walls of MaeMe. |

Alan | OwnerAlan joined Melissa at MaeMe a few years after she opened the doors, bringing his business experience, steady leadership, and servant heart to the growing brand. As CFO, Alan handles the numbers behind the magic—overseeing finances, tracking performance data, managing operations, and keeping the business running smoothly from the back end. From building the boutique’s iconic champagne tap to supporting big-picture strategy, he’s a true behind-the-scenes MVP who wears many hats (and usually has a spreadsheet open while doing it). Known lovingly as “Mr. Alan” by the team and our brides' families, he’s the definition of dependable, always ready with a kind word, a quick solution, or a celebratory toast. Outside of MaeMe, Alan loves spending time with his wife, Jeannine, and being "Poppy" to their wonderful grandchildren. He enjoys a well-crafted cocktail, wood working, and exploring new places through travel—especially when it means making lasting memories with family. |

In her new role, she not only guides brides with heart and creativity but also supports the team by cultivating a positive floor experience. Norah | Stylist
Norah joined MaeMe two years ago after being encouraged by her family friend and mentor, Melissa, to explore the bridal world following her graduation from Mandeville High. Since then, the team has become like family, and Norah has found her passion in creating meaningful experiences for brides. She loves learning each bride’s love story and helping them discover their dream dress. Currently, Norah gravitates toward timeless, elegant styles—especially classic gowns with peek-a-boo lace details. Outside of MaeMe, Gabrielle is pursuing her master’s degree in Social Work, fueling her days with plenty of coffee. She loves spending time outdoors, shopping, and enjoying time with friends. Her favorite bridal inspiration? The timeless and chic Hailey Bieber look. |

Emma | Stylist
Emma brings creativity and passion to every appointment, with her favorite part of styling being the opportunity to bring each bride’s dream vision to life. She loves creating elevated and timeless looks, particularly clean gowns accented with Chantilly lace or dramatic skirts with basque waistlines. Outside of MaeMe, Emma stays busy with sewing projects, calligraphy, journaling, and other crafts. She’s always in search of the best gumbo in New Orleans and loves discovering hidden food gems around town. For Emma, bridal is the perfect blend of artistry and empowerment, making her work both meaningful and inspiring. When I'm not at MaeMe I am working on my sewing projects or whatever craft I'm doing that week such as doing my nails, calligraphy, or journaling.
I am always in the mood for some gumbo and love recommendations of the best gumbo in town since I'm not from here!
What brought me to bridal was the appeal of using my creative side to help women feel empowered and beautiful on their wedding day!
My favorite look to create is a clean look with accents of chantilly lace in the bust and sleeves to create a very elevated, classic, and timeless look! I also love a basque waist with a dramatic skirt!

Meredith loves creating lasting memories with brides and their loved ones, making the dress-shopping journey just as special as the gown itself. Joining MaeMe was a dream realized after years of admiring the bridal industry from afar, and she’s grateful every day to be part of helping brides say yes to the dress. Her favorite look? A clean, classic A-line—it feels timelessly bridal (and is what she wore on her own wedding day!). When she’s not at MaeMe, Meredith enjoys life with her husband, Justin, and their dog, Tilly—often at City Bark or curled up at home with a good book. She also loves baking, especially when paired with a Diet Coke and fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies. |
